How to Prepare Natural Cleaning Products at Home
Take a small step yourself today, for a more liveable world!
Cleaning products are among the essential needs of our homes. But how healthy are the cleaning products we use almost everywhere in our homes, both for us and for our little ones? Are the cleaning products we buy from shops harmful to nature? Can we make sustainable, safer cleaning products at home? Let's take a look together...
Natural Cleaning
One of the most effective ways to be sustainable at home is to use natural cleaning products. These products keep your home clean while also improving air quality and causing no harm to the environment.
Safe Surfaces
Because no chemical residue is left on surfaces after cleaning with natural cleaning products, you create a safer environment for both your baby and yourself.
Health
Chemical cleaning products can harm your respiratory system and your skin. What's more, if wastewater isn't filtered, this can lead to harmful chemicals contaminating nature.
Cleaning Products You Can Quickly Make at Home
Bicarbonate of soda and water: Sprinkle bicarbonate of soda onto the surface and scrub with a damp cloth or sponge. To remove stains, mix bicarbonate of soda with water to form a paste. Then apply it to the surface and leave it to sit for a while. You can use this method on surfaces such as chopping boards and fridges.
White vinegar and water: Mix 2–3 tablespoons of white vinegar with 4 litres of water. Pour this mixture into a spray bottle. Your all-purpose disinfectant is now ready to use on any surface.
Essential oils: You can use essential oils such as lavender or tea tree oil to freshen the air in your home.
