Mummy,

I first got to know your voice, the calmest voice in the world, the loveliest smile, and it belongs to my mum J Then I saw the sparkle in your eyes as you looked at me, your hands wrapping around my tiny ones...

I love you so much, Mummy.

I can feel how fast your heart beats when you're worried. And the joy in your eyes when you're happy... But we're growing up together... As I take my first steps, as I pick up my spoon, as I laugh for minutes over some silly sound, or as I cry when something frightens me... you're always there beside me.

Being with you feels wonderful. I know I'll need your guidance, your warmth and your understanding my whole life through. And knowing that gives me strength. I'm learning from you how to stand strong through difficulties, and how to savour the beautiful moments.

Thank you for being my mum, and for guiding me with such patience.
